My name is Christian M. Stracke:

In more than 20 years, I have built and developed interdisciplinary competences and expertise in digital education and research as well as in global leadership coordinating 100+ international large-scale projects with EUR 50+ million budgets and research institutes and teams up to 200+ researchers.

As globally recognized expert and innovator and appointed ICDE Chair in OER, I provided 100+ keynotes worldwide plus countless presentations and interactive workshops at leading international conferences. I have published 200+ scientific articles, books, standards and indexed journals on his main research fields: Artificial Intelligence, Open Education and their societal impact (my ORCID: 0000-0001-9656-8298). Since many years, I consult and work for the United Nations, UNESCO, Council of Europe, European Commission & Parliament, and many national ministries and educational institutions. I co-founded the UNESCO UNITWIN Network “Open education”, the European Network “Ethical Usage of AI in Education” and many more international non-for-profit initiatives for sustainable learning innovations and quality for all. This includes the National e-Learning Society in Germany (D-ELAN e.V.) that I chaired as elected Board member for ten years. And in addition, I was elected Chair of international Standardization Bodies (ISO, IEC and CEN) for more than eleven years.

Currently, I co-develop the European AI law as member of the AI&ED Expert Group appointed by the Council of Europe. At the German University of Excellence in Bonn, I’m coordinator for the university-wide design, development and implementation of digital teaching and learning, the cloud strategy and AI research lab. And I’m appointed Advisory Professor at East China Normal University in Shanghai (China), and Adjunct Professor at Korea National Open University in Seoul (Korea). I holds a PhD in Economics and Informatics and a Magister Artium in Educational Sciences.
